On Sunday, October 2, 2016, IFEZ held the “2016 Incheon Songdo International City Marathon” in Songdo International City. The event was a sports festival joined by citizens and marathon club members from across the country, offering participants an opportunity to run through the urban center and waterfront areas of Songdo International City while sharing a healthy and active city culture. Runners raced along major roads and park areas in Songdo International City by course, and the event served as an occasion to widely promote the city’s international landscape and eco-friendly image. The marathon was held as a festival through which citizens could experience the residential environment and urban brand value of Songdo International City.
