On Friday, September 30, 2016, IFEZ opened the “Songdo Light Festival” at Songdo Central Park. The festival was organized to offer citizens and visitors a distinctive nighttime attraction by making use of the park’s autumn evening scenery. A total of 20,000 LED roses were installed throughout Songdo Central Park, filling the area with brilliant light and creating a striking nighttime landscape harmonized with the urban waterfront setting. The festival was held as a major nighttime event that promoted the cultural and tourism appeal of Songdo International City and provided an occasion for citizens to enjoy together.
