On Thursday, November 10, 2016, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with KAZNEX INVEST, a state agency of Kazakhstan, on cooperation in investment attraction and free economic zone development. The agreement was concluded on the occasion of a business forum hosted by the Korea-Kazakhstan Economic Cooperation Committee, and the two sides agreed to share development experience and operational know-how related to free economic zones while strengthening the foundation for investment attraction cooperation. KAZNEX INVEST is an agency under the Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan that supports the promotion of exports by domestic companies and the attraction of foreign capital, and it serves as the integrated control tower for the operation of 10 special economic zones in Kazakhstan.
