On Friday, November 25, 2016, STATS ChipPAC Korea held a completion ceremony for its new plant in the airport logistics complex of Yeongjong International City. STATS ChipPAC Korea is a global semiconductor packaging and testing company, and the new plant was developed on a site of approximately 120,000 square meters. With the completion of the new facility, the company expanded its semiconductor back-end production capacity and strengthened its logistics competitiveness by leveraging its location near Incheon International Airport. The completion was expected to contribute to strengthening the advanced industrial base of Yeongjong International City, creating local jobs, and enhancing the competitiveness of the semiconductor industry.
