On January 18, 2017 (Wednesday), Yujin Robot held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its new headquarters in the Knowledge and Information Industry Complex of Songdo International City. The new building, with a site area of 7,723 square meters and a total floor area of 14,654 square meters, was planned as a four-story structure above ground with one basement level to house manufacturing facilities, a research institute, and management planning and sales divisions. The first floor was to include a robot café and showroom served by autonomous mobile robots, and the company planned to consolidate its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Seoul and Bucheon at the new site. Yujin Robot is a robotics company that develops and manufactures robot vacuum cleaners, educational robots, and industrial robots.
