On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, IFEZ signed a win-win agreement with Samho and Kumho Engineering & Construction to revitalize the local construction industry. The agreement was designed to expand opportunities for local construction companies to participate in development projects in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, promote the use of local materials and equipment, encourage the hiring of local workers, and help stimulate the regional economy. Samho and Kumho Engineering & Construction are construction companies engaged in housing, plant, and infrastructure projects in Korea.
