On March 15, 2018 (Thursday), IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation with the Khorgos Special Economic Zone of Kazakhstan. The agreement was made during the visit of Murat Baimukhanbetov, Head of the Khorgos Special Economic Zone of Kazakhstan, to IFEZ, and laid the groundwork for sharing experience in the development and operation of free economic zones, as well as for expanding benchmarking and future mutual cooperation. The Khorgos Special Economic Zone is an economic zone in Kazakhstan pursuing growth as an international logistics and trade hub.
