On Monday, July 23, 2018, IFEZ signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Fergana Regional Government of Uzbekistan on cooperation for the development of free economic zones and investment promotion. Through the agreement, the two sides agreed to share experience in free economic zone development, make joint efforts to attract investment, identify cooperative projects, and promote exchanges. The Fergana Regional Government is the administrative authority overseeing the Fergana region in eastern Uzbekistan.
