On Thursday, August 30, 2018, Okuma Korea Co., Ltd. held an opening ceremony for its new education and training center building in the Advanced Industry Cluster of Songdo International City. Okuma Korea Co., Ltd. is a foreign-invested corporation wholly funded by Okuma Corporation of Japan, a global machine tool manufacturer. With a total investment of KRW 10 billion (approximately USD 8.9 million), the company established a CNC machine tool education and training center at 206-7 Songdo-dong, with a total floor area of 1,789.3 square meters and two stories, to serve as a base for customer service enhancement and workforce training.
