On October 17, 2018 (Wednesday), Amada Korea opened a technical center for metalworking machinery in Songdo International City. Japan-based Amada is a comprehensive manufacturer of metalworking machinery in the fields of sheet metal, cutting, machine tools, press systems, and precision welding. The newly opened technical center was built on a 6,173.8-square-meter site at 11-4, Songdo-dong, in the Knowledge and Information Industry Complex of Songdo International City, with a total floor area of 4,005.0 square meters, including a five-story office building and the main technical center building. The facility will serve as a base for technical support, training, and product exhibition in the field of metalworking machinery.
