On October 22, 2018 (Monday), IFEZ signed a business agreement with SG Industrial Development to promote the Eulwangsan IFUS HILL Development Project. The project calls for an investment of KRW 230 billion (approximately USD 203.7 million) by 2024 to develop a 807,733-square-meter site in the Eulwangsan area into a hub for film, culture, and content production. Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and SG Industrial Development plan to request re-designation of the area as a Free Economic Zone from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy by June 2019, and after consultations on the development plan, aim to begin construction in the second half of 2020 and complete the project by the end of 2024.
