On October 22, 2018 (Monday), Fashion Group Hyungji broke ground on the Hyungji Global Fashion Complex Center in Songdo International City. Upon completion, the facility is expected to house the headquarters of Fashion Group Hyungji and its affiliates, and to serve as a key base for forming a fashion cluster in Songdo International City together with the Fashion Institute of Technology of the State University of New York. The complex will be built on a 12,501.6-square-meter site at 11-2, Songdo-dong, near Jisikinformodanji Station in Songdo International City, and will consist of three buildings: a 17-story office tower, a 23-story officetel building, and a three-story retail facility. It will also include research and development centers for fashion materials, design, and global marketing, as well as education and training facilities for nurturing fashion talent.
