On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, IFEZ signed a land sale agreement with Korea igus for the construction of an advanced components production and research and development facility. Korea igus is a German-affiliated advanced parts company that applies core technologies for smart factories to its products. The company plans to invest KRW 14 billion (approximately USD 12.4 million) to build a three-story advanced components production and R&D facility on a 9,498㎡ site in the advanced industrial cluster of Songdo International City, at 10-84 and 10-85 Songdo-dong, with construction scheduled to begin in November 2018 and be completed by the end of 2019.
