On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a mutual cooperation agreement with AIT. AIT is a manufacturer of electrical and electronic components and decided to invest KRW 11 billion (approximately USD 9.8 million) in the construction of a manufacturing and research facility on a 7,503-square-meter site in Incheon Hightech Park, Cheongna International City. The facility was scheduled for completion in September 2019 and planned to be built as an advanced manufacturing line applying the latest smart factory technology of its U.S. joint venture partner, INNOTEC.
