On Friday, March 8, 2019, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Namangan Regional Government of Uzbekistan for free economic zone development and investment promotion. The memorandum included cooperation on free economic zone development, expansion of investment attraction, identification of joint cooperation projects, and revitalization of exchanges between the two institutions. Through this agreement, the authority planned to broaden its cooperative foundation with local governments in Uzbekistan and expand economic cooperation with Central Asia as well as its participation in overseas development projects.
