On Thursday, March 21, 2019, Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Hyundai Movex. Under the agreement, Hyundai Movex plans to begin construction in March 2019 on a 6,684㎡ site for a logistics automation system R&D center in the Incheon High-Tech Park urban high-tech industrial complex in Cheongna International City, and complete it by October 2019 for full-scale operation. Hyundai Movex is a logistics automation company established in July 2017 through the spin-off of Hyundai Elevator’s logistics automation division and later merged with Hyundai U&I, an information and communications technology affiliate of Hyundai Group. The company develops and supplies logistics automation facilities and systems.
