On Monday, April 29, 2019, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a business agreement with SK Telecom Co., Ltd. for the development of a globally leading smart city. Under the agreement, the two sides decided to promote the activation of Startup Venture Polis, the establishment of autonomous driving infrastructure through public-private cooperation, and projects to expand fifth-generation mobile communication-based services and technologies. They also plan to pilot high-definition maps and a data hub in Songdo International City, Cheongna International City, and Yeongjong International City to strengthen the management and analysis system for floating population data.
