On Thursday, May 30, 2019, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a letter of intent with the Samarqand Region Government of Uzbekistan to share free economic zone development experience and promote mutual economic cooperation. The agreement included joint efforts to share development experience, encourage mutual investment, identify cooperative projects, and expand exchanges, while also establishing a basis for cooperation to revitalize the Urgut Free Economic Zone in the Samarqand Region.
