On Thursday, June 20, 2019, Otis Korea completed its Production and Research & Development Center in the Knowledge Information Industry Complex of Songdo International City. Built on a 15,544㎡ site at 50 Venture-ro 12beon-gil, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, the center has a total floor area of 15,600㎡ and includes an R&D center, production facilities, a parts supply center, a modernization system center, a quality center, and technical training and customer service centers. Otis Korea plans to consolidate its research, development, and production functions previously dispersed across Seoul, Incheon, and Changwon into Songdo and foster the facility as a Northeast Asia R&D hub for the full-scale development of Internet of Things-based connected elevators.
