On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology to cooperate on the development of a globally leading smart city. Under the agreement, the two organizations agreed to work together in technology development, testing and verification, test-bed development, and international cooperation in the fields of smart cities and smart construction. The Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as a smart city service support institution, plans to apply and verify related technologies in Songdo International City and promote the development of new smart city services and the expansion of citizen-oriented services.
