On Friday, March 27, 2020, IFEZ signed a mutual cooperation agreement with BGF EcoBio Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of eco-friendly advanced biodegradable plastic products. BGF EcoBio Co., Ltd. plans to invest KRW 49.3 billion (approximately USD 40 million) to build a development and manufacturing facility for eco-friendly advanced products on a 15,623㎡ site in Incheon Hi-Tech Park, Cheongna International City. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2020, with completion targeted for March 2021, and the company plans to expand its research and development and production base in the biodegradable plastics sector.
