On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority(IFEZ) held the 'IFEZ Industry-Academia Cooperation Meeting for Foreign Educational Institutions.' This meeting was arranged as the 'Partial Amendment to the Act on the Promotion of Industrial Education and Facilitation of Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation,' which includes foreign educational institutions within Free Economic Zones as industrial education institutions, was passed by the National Assembly in March and is set to take effect on September 25, 2020. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to accelerate industry-academia cooperation with universities located at the Incheon Global Campus and foster a close cooperative ecosystem between foreign educational institutions in the Free Economic Zone and domestic industries.
