On Thursday, October 15, 2020, IFEZ held an online-based event titled “A Venue for Communication with the Local Community” to mark its 17th anniversary, with participation from tenant companies, research institutes, foreign residents, university students, citizens, and senior officials of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. The event featured congratulatory messages from Park Nam-chun, Mayor of Incheon Metropolitan City, Shin Eun-ho, Chair of the Incheon Metropolitan Council, members of the National Assembly, and former commissioners of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, along with a commemorative address, a video on achievements and future vision, a special lecture by Kim Seon-bae, Head of the National Balanced Development Center at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, and proposals from representatives of various sectors.
