On Friday, April 23, 2021, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with San Bernardino County, California, the United States, to extend economic cooperation and mutual exchange. The agreement was pursued to continue the cooperative relationship first established in April 2019 and to expand collaboration in the smart city sector. San Bernardino County requested benchmarking of the IFEZ Smart City Operations Center, which has drawn strong interest from both Korea and abroad. Following the reelection of Chair Curt Hagman of San Bernardino County, who expressed his intention to continue cooperation, the two sides agreed to maintain economic collaboration and mutual exchange.
