On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, IFEZ signed a contract with Daedong Door Co., Ltd. for the construction of its second plant. HI-LEX Corporation of Japan, the parent company of Daedong Door Co., Ltd., planned to make an additional foreign direct investment of USD 10 million to begin construction of an advanced electrical and electronic components manufacturing facility on a 6,003.9㎡ site in the Knowledge and Information Industry Complex of Songdo International City, with completion scheduled by 2022. Daedong Door Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the production of door locking systems and has been recognized as an outstanding research and development partner for new technologies by Hyundai Motor Group through its continuous innovation efforts.
