On Thursday, November 25, 2021, IFEZ met with the leadership of Sartorius of Germany. In November 2020, Sartorius submitted a letter of intent to invest USD 100 million in the construction of biopharmaceutical raw and subsidiary material manufacturing, research and development, and education facilities in Songdo International City. In early November 2021, the company also signed a memorandum of understanding on investment attraction with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Incheon Metropolitan City to expand the investment to USD 300 million. Sartorius is a global company that supplies equipment and materials required for biopharmaceutical processes.
