On Monday, December 27, 2021, IFEZ signed a project agreement with the Asan Medical Center Consortium for the Cheongna Medical Complex Town project. The consortium, joined by eight top-level participating investors in their respective fields, proposed the operation of a world-class hospital with 800 beds and the establishment of medical and bio research facilities in cooperation with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and other partners. It also plans to establish the Life Science Park, which will serve as a research and development hub within the medical complex town, and a state-of-the-art smart education center to promote the excellence of Korea’s medical and bio industries to the world. Asan Medical Center is one of Korea’s leading tertiary hospitals, recognized for advanced treatment of serious diseases and medical research.
