On Monday, December 27, 2021, IFEZ signed a land sale contract with SK Bioscience for the establishment of a research institute in Songdo International City. SK Bioscience plans to develop a vaccine research and development facility and build both its headquarters and research institute on Lot SR14 in the expanded Technopark complex of District 7 in Songdo International City, located at 178-3 Songdo-dong, on a site of 30,413.8 square meters. Based on its own research and development capabilities and globally recognized production capacity, SK Bioscience has contributed to strengthening Korea’s vaccine industry competitiveness through the development of its own COVID-19 vaccine and contract manufacturing.
