From Tuesday, August 30 to Saturday, September 3, 2005, IFEZ held the IBC Forum International Seminar in Pudong, Shanghai, China, under the theme “The Current Status of Free Economic Zone Operations and Measures for Improvement.” The seminar was organized to mark the second anniversary of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and to review the achievements and challenges of free economic zone operations while exploring future directions for development. Participants discussed the current state of institutional operations, tasks for improvement, and ways to strengthen international competitiveness, and they will further develop measures for policy improvement and more efficient operations.
