On Thursday, January 26, 2006, Incheon Metropolitan City and Yonsei University signed a memorandum of understanding at Yonsei University Sinchon Main Campus in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to develop the Yonsei University Internationalization Complex in Songdo International City, including an undergraduate college and a mixed-use research complex. Under the agreement, Yonsei University plans to promote the creation of a campus equipped with a global education environment and research infrastructure, and Songdo International City is expected to gain an industry-academia cooperation hub linking university and research functions.
