On January 26, 2006 (Thursday), Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed an investment agreement with Switzerland’s Gudel to establish an assembly plant in Songdo International City. The agreement was signed in the second-floor meeting room of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and served as an opportunity to expand the related industrial base by creating a production hub for a specialized manufacturer in precision equipment, robotics, and continuous production systems. Gudel plans to build the assembly plant in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, which is expected to contribute to the concentration of advanced manufacturing industries and the revitalization of investment attraction. Gudel is a Swiss company that manufactures precision equipment, robots, and continuous production systems.
