On February 22, 2006 (Wednesday), the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority was selected by the Public Procurement Service as an “Excellent Institution for Procurement Service in 2005.” While carrying out large-scale projects, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority expanded opportunities for local companies to participate by stipulating that local firms should account for at least 40 percent of joint contracting in major procurement requests. This selection recognized its contribution to revitalizing the regional economy and promoting cooperation with local businesses through public procurement, and it is expected to support fair and efficient procurement administration in the future.
