On March 15, 2006 (Wednesday), the Uri Party held a policy meeting at the international conference hall on the second floor of Gaetbeol Tower in Songdo International City under the theme “Incheon, the Free Economic City at the Center of Northeast Asia.” About 30 participants, including the Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, the Chair of the Uri Party Policy Committee, and the floor leader, attended the meeting to discuss major issues related to the development of the Incheon Free Economic Zone and the future growth of Incheon. The participants also reviewed key regional agendas, including the free economic zone, the nationalization of Incheon National University, support for Songdo New Port, and the construction of the Gyeongin Canal, while seeking policy support measures.
