On June 12, 2006 (Monday), Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed a contract with Japan’s Sani Tech for the construction of a manufacturing plant and research and development center in the Knowledge and Information Industry Complex of Songdo International City. Sani Tech plans to invest KRW 11 billion (approximately USD 11.7 million) by 2007 on a 2,357-pyeong site to establish the manufacturing plant and research and development center. The contract is expected to contribute to strengthening the advanced industrial base of Songdo International City and revitalizing foreign direct investment. Sani Tech is a Japanese company with precision press technology.
