On June 27, 2006 (Tuesday), the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) and the Incheon Tourism Organization signed a business cooperation agreement to accelerate the early development of tourism and leisure infrastructure and promote investment attraction. The two organizations plan to establish a working council and joint task forces to discuss tourism promotion, foreign direct investment attraction, strategic development plans, and the promotion of the Incheon Free Economic Zone. They also plan to pursue joint investment roadshows targeting Chinese and Taiwanese overseas Chinese capital, build cultural tourism, arts, and convention infrastructure, and attract international conferences and exhibitions, which are expected to strengthen Songdo International City’s role as a tourism hub.
