On September 19, 2006 (Tuesday), Margaret Hodge, UK Minister for Industry and the Regions, visited the Incheon Bridge construction site. The visit was arranged to strengthen economic cooperation between Korea and the United Kingdom and to explore ways to expand the investment environment between the two countries. During the visit, Minister Margaret Hodge reviewed the progress of the bridge construction and the overall project plan, while examining the development of key transportation infrastructure linking Songdo International City and Yeongjong International City. Incheon Bridge is expected to serve as an important infrastructure facility that will improve access to Incheon International Airport and strengthen regional transportation connectivity.
