On October 16, 2006 (Monday), Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed an investment agreement with Nano Technics, a nanotechnology company, to establish a CNF (Carbon Nanofiber) plant and an Energy-Information Technology Research Institute in Songdo International City. Under the agreement, Nano Technics plans to make a joint investment with Intel Capital to create an advanced base combining manufacturing and research functions. Nano Technics is a company specializing in nanotechnology, and the project is expected to contribute to strengthening the advanced industrial base of Songdo International City, enhancing research and development capacity, and promoting foreign investment attraction.
