On October 26, 2006 (Thursday), the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a letter of intent with Tianjin Binhai New Area in China to promote mutual exchange and cooperation. The agreement was pursued to build a practical foundation for cooperation through information sharing, the establishment of a cooperative partnership, and the exchange of development experience between the two special economic zones. Both sides plan to expand cooperation in the development of special economic zones, investment attraction, and complementary functions, and the signing is expected to contribute to strengthening the Incheon Free Economic Zone’s exchanges with China and its international cooperation network.
