On December 1, 2006 (Friday), Gudel completed its robot factory in the Knowledge Information Industrial Complex of Songdo International City. The facility is an industrial robot assembly plant of about 1,500 pyeong and was developed through 100 percent foreign direct investment. Gudel made a first-round investment of USD 2.5 million out of a total planned investment of USD 6 million, and the factory site was arranged under a 50-year long-term lease to reduce the initial capital burden on foreign-invested companies. Gudel is a company specializing in industrial robots and precision machinery, and the completion is expected to contribute to strengthening the advanced manufacturing base of Songdo International City and expanding foreign investment attraction.
