On December 22, 2006 (Friday), Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed an investment agreement with Nano Optics Co., Ltd. Under the agreement, Nano Optics plans to build a research and development center in Songdo International City. Nano Optics is a company that manufactures optical films for LCDs, and this investment marked an opportunity to strengthen the advanced materials and information technology industrial base of Songdo International City and expand its research and development functions. It is also expected to contribute to the clustering of related industries and the revitalization of foreign investment attraction.
