Signing of a Business Agreement for the Development of an Advanced Medical Complex

On January 4, 2007 (Thursday) Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a business agreement with the Korea University Institute of Biotechnology and the Catholic Medical Center of the Catholic University of Korea to develop an advanced medical complex. The agreement was designed to build a foundation for industry-academia-research cooperation and foster Songdo International City as a hub for advanced bio and medical research and industry. The organizations plan to pursue joint cooperation in biopharmaceuticals, medical research, professional workforce training, and the attraction of related companies as part of the phased development of the advanced medical complex.
