On January 9, 2007 (Tuesday) Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) signed a memorandum of understanding with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies for the establishment of the university’s interpretation and translation center in Songdo International City. The memorandum established a cooperative foundation to expand professional interpretation and translation infrastructure in response to international business and foreign investment needs, while strengthening foreign language education and international exchange functions. The parties plan to discuss the center’s development and operation and proceed with the project.
