On January 18, 2007 (Thursday) IFEZ held a symposium with leading scientists for the development of the Incheon Biomedical Hub. The symposium was organized to introduce the Incheon Biomedical Hub development plan and to support efforts to attract the advanced medical complex promoted by the central government of the Republic of Korea. Participants from institutions that had signed business agreements and members of the domestic scientific community discussed plans for bio and medical research, industrialization, and professional workforce training centered on Songdo International City, and they plan to promote the gradual development of an industry-academia-research cooperation system and related projects.
