On March 21, 2007 (Wednesday) IFEZ held a groundbreaking ceremony at a site in Songdo International City for the construction of shared infrastructure for the u-IT Cluster. The ceremony marked the full-scale start of building foundational facilities that will concentrate research and development and business support functions for the information and communications technology industry. The shared infrastructure for the u-IT Cluster will support the future occupancy and cooperation of advanced information technology companies and research institutions, and the project will be promoted in phases to establish Songdo International City as a hub for ubiquitous information technology industries.
