On February 26, 2007 (Monday) Gachon Medical School held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Cancer and Diabetes Research Institute at the Incheon Technopark site in Songdo International City. The institute will be developed as a specialized research facility for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer and diabetes, and it plans to advance related research based on globally competitive researchers and cooperative research networks. The project is expected to strengthen the bio-medical research foundation in Songdo International City and contribute to the development of an advanced research hub.
