On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with the Batam Industrial Development Authority, Indonesia. The memorandum included cooperation in participation in the development of trade, industry, and tourism; mutual exchange of information, delegations, experts, and business people; and joint promotion of free economic zone-related projects as well as cooperation in education, research, policy planning, and consultation. The agreement is expected to contribute to expanding the foundation for international cooperation and strengthening free economic zone development capacity.
