On Friday, October 12, 2007, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with the State University of New York in the United States. Through this memorandum, the State University of New York plans to establish a research and development center and a branch campus in Songdo International City to collaborate with Korean universities and carry out joint research. The agreement is expected to strengthen the international education and research functions of Songdo International City and contribute to the development of a global knowledge-based city.
