On December 5, 2007 (Wednesday), Lee Myung-bak, the 17th presidential candidate, visited IFEZ. The visit was made to review the development status of the Incheon Free Economic Zone and the progress of major projects, and to inspect the international business, high-tech industry, and residential infrastructure being developed mainly in Songdo International City. Lee Myung-bak toured major IFEZ facilities and was briefed on future development directions.
