On Thursday, June 12, 2008, Incheon Metropolitan City held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gyeongin Expressway straightening construction project. The project was launched to improve the road alignment, facilitate smoother traffic flow, and reorganize the urban spatial structure. Going forward, it will help adjust the function of the Gyeongin Expressway more efficiently, enhance accessibility and connectivity in surrounding areas, and lay the foundation for inner-city regeneration and balanced urban development.
