On Friday, June 20, 2008, IFEZ held the groundbreaking ceremony for Incheon Tower and Songdo Landmark City. The event marked the starting point of a large-scale development project aimed at enhancing the symbolic status and international business functions of Songdo International City. Incheon Tower and Songdo Landmark City will be developed as a mixed-use complex combining office, residential, commercial, and tourism functions, and are expected to become a key urban landmark representing the cityscape of Songdo International City and strengthening its competitiveness as an international city.
